Appliance Repair FAQs

Q. What types of appliances does Ace service?

A. We service all types of major home appliances including but not limited to, Freezers, Cooktops, Central Air Conditioning, Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers, Disposals, Refrigerators, Ovens and Ranges. Check out our Service page for more info on which brands we service.

Q. Do you buy or sell New or Used Appliances?

A. NO. We are a repair company only. However, if you need suggestions, we are always happy to help.

Q. How will I know when you will arrive?

A. Your time is important to us. All appointments are scheduled within a two or three hour window for your convenience. Our friendly office staff will always give you a courtesy call to let you know the technician is on his way, approximately 15- 30 minutes before arrival.

Q. How do you charge?

A. Our service call includes a diagnosis fee and a complete written estimate of the work required for your appliance. Your total bill is broken into three parts: 1) the diagnostic fee 2) any labor charges 3) any parts charges. We base all of our prices off the Major Appliance Service National Price Guide. By using this guide, we ensure that our customers are getting the best possible repair price for their dollar.

Q. How do I know if my appliance is worth repairing?

A. We can help by giving the unit a full diagnostic check to see if your appliance is worth the repair. Most of our technicians have 10 to 20 years worth of field experience and will let you know, from a professional standpoint, if the cost of the repair is a better value than replacing the unit. If at that point you choose not to have any work done, or the unit is not repairable, you would just be responsible for the diagnostic fee or service call.

Q. Why is it important for me to be home and answer the phone during my scheduled appointment time?

A. With the exception of apartments,We cannot send our technicians out to a home without a person being there during the appointment window. If you are unable to keep your appointment, we ask that you call as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule.

Q. Can I be post billed for the repair or put on account for service?

A. We only set up billing accounts, or NON-C.O.D accounts, with customers with specific history with our company and whose credit application has been approved by our accounting department. Some exceptions do apply, so please contact our office and any one of our friendly office staff will be able to help you with further information.

Q. Will my appliance be fixed the same day?

A. All of our technicians have trucks stocked with 95% of the current, fast - moving parts. We do this to be able to fix your appliance the same day. Although we stock as many parts as we can on our trucks, occasionally we do have to order parts from our distributors, which sometimes can take one to five business days.

Q. Will I be charged again if the technician has to return due to non-stocked parts?

A. Absolutely not!
